Stratecon awarded Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Contract
July 18, 2008 - Stratecon announced today that it has been awarded a multi-million dollar, firm-fixed-priced, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award contract, by the Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA. The five year contract calls for Stratecon to provide pre-award acquisition planning, document preparation, contract administration, contract close-out, procurement tracking and policy and analysis support to the Marine Corps.
The general requirements of the contract require that Stratecon perform
tasks such as advising MCSC stakeholders as to appropriate sourcing
strategies for requirements. Appropriate sourcing strategies include,
but are not limited to, adequate market research, adequate sole source
documentation, the development of source selection criteria, and the
composition of source selection evaluation boards. Stratecon shall also
assist MCSC stakeholders in acquisition planning and the development of
key acquisition documents including, Acquisition Plans, Statements of
Work/Performance Work Statements (SOW/PWS), Statements of Objectives
(SOO), Sole Source Justifications, Source Selection Plans, Necessary
Determinations and Findings and Waivers.
Stratecon shall also assist in the development of solicitations for major systems and in the review of proposals. We shall also assist in the preparation of contract award documentation, as well as implementing standard contract management procedures and solve problems that arise during contract performance. Stratecon also monitors contractor performance, resolves issues, reconciles payments and prepares contracts for close-out.
Stratecon also provides assistance in the area of Business Operations, including, procurement policy review and implementation, monitoring and tracking supplemental execution to include proposed award dates, commitments, obligations and awards.
